Venkat Bahl joined Sentient Energy in 2016 as Vice President of Sales.

Prior to joining Sentient, Venkat was the sales leader for wireless technologies at Emerson Process Management, a Fortune 100 company, where he helped scale the fledgling wireless business to over $300 million in 5 years.  He was also previously a founding member of the ZigBee Alliance, and was the Alliance’s first Vice Chair and Marketing Chair. At the Zigbee Alliance, he helped guide the strategy and execution of the business plan that resulted in establishing the Alliance as one of the key industry protocols enabling the edge of the smart grid and IoT businesses in the industrial and commercial segments.  He also held senior level positions at Philips, Ember, and most recently Apprion.

Venkat has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Economics degree from Loyola College, Chennai.
